Celtic Metal Sculpture (1 janv. 400 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 100 av. J.-C.)

Description:

The Celts were nomadic tribes that originated from the Caucasus around 800 B.C. and spread westward into Europe. Though the tribes were disorganized and could not compete with the likes of Rome, they were highly skilled blacksmiths and goldsmiths. Through the mastery of these skills they were able to make some of the best works of metal sculpture art, that would influence and be imitated throughout the known world at the time.
