East - West Schism (1 janv. 1054 – 31 déc. 1054)
Description:
1054 ADOver a number of years, for many reasons, disagreement grew between the Eastern and Western Churches and in 1054 there was a formal split called the East West Schism.
Reasons for the split:
Differing views on Christianity and its leadership
Roman Empire was too large to govern it as a whole.
Eventually split into Eastern Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church.
