Ice Age (19 mai 2938 av. J.-C. – 19 mai 2238 av. J.-C.)
Description:
The events of the flood that destroyed the world caused a global ice event. An excessive amount of volcanic dust was dispersed into the atmosphere, which made land areas more cool than they are today. The continuing volcanic activity caused the oceans to be more warm than they are today, causing more evaporation. So with increased rate of precipitation, and that precipitation falling over a mostly cool land mass, a lot of that fell as snow. It's estimated that only one third of the total land mass was covered in snow.
The Ice Age reached its peak at around 500 years after the flood was finished, and took another roughly 200 years to completely melt down to todays levels. With a lot of ice in the oceans, the global shore lines were somewhat lower, which created land bridges in places that are now underwater, such as the Berring Straight that separates Russia from Alaska, and several other examples. With all that ice melted back quite a bit, the water level rose up to where it is today. This roughly 500 year period of cold gave people and animals enough time to spread all over the globe.
