Siege of Deir-al Qamar (7 sept. 1983 – 15 déc. 1983)
Description:
As early as September 4, 1983, the Christian population started fleeing their villages, some heading toward the Christian town of Deir al-Qamar in the Shuf and others toward Beirut, Jezzine, or the Beqaa. Approximately 8,000 Christians from more than 60 villages sought refuge in Deir al-Qamar, in the Shuf. Several hundred LF fighters had also sought refuge there. Around September 7, 1983, the PSP and its allies began a siege of the town that lasted until December 15, 1983.Ajouté au bande de temps:
