Description:
Argentinian forces invaded the Falkland Islands which was a British territory at the time. Britain’s task force reached the islands where the Argentinian ship the General Belgrano, was sunk by the Royal Navy. Sky conflict increased as the battle continued and by June 14, Argentina had surrendered to the British forces. This event is coded blue because the war was a clear Communist loss considering the British were victorious. The Falklands-Malvinas war was significant to the rest of the Cold War because it added another Communist loss to the list and the Argentinian way of life was changed from that point on.Ajouté au bande de temps:
