First Red Scare (1 janv. 1917 – 1 janv. 1921)
Description:
Caused by the rise of the anti-capitalist Bolshevik party in Russia and anarchist bombings within the United States, the First Red Scare was characterized by widespread fear of Bolshevism and anarchism. It spurred efforts to remove communists and anarchists from the United States. Most of these efforts were directed at immigrants, especially Italian anarchists.
