The Empire; Napoleon was Emperor of the French and King of Italy; he took over France that was desperate for a ruler after so much chaos and gave up the liberal freedoms they fought for in the French Rev. (1792) in exchange for peace CONTINUITY people will give up freedoms if it means peaceTook over majority of Europe until stopped by multiple countries who send him to tiny island. He came back with troops again defeated and European leaders then send him to Africa where he later died.
