Description:

The War of 1812 also called the "Second War of Independence," was a war fought against Britain as a result of England interfering with the United State's trade and expansion. At the end of the War on February 17, 1815 the Treaty of Ghent officially ended the War between the United States and England. This would be the last time both countries would wage war against each other. (The end of the War of 1812 brought great national pride and allowed for the United States to resume trade and expansion to the West at an excelerated rate.)
