Description:
At the time of the Taiping Rebellion, China was being ruled by the Qing Dynasty. The Taiping Rebellion was a civil war between the Qing Dynasty and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, a war of religion vs. politics. It shook the entirety of China, from the government officials to the peasants, took 20 million lives, and destroyed an estimate of 17 provinces.
