Description:
Hitler requested land with the threat of war. France and England said that he could have it as long as he did not start a war.
What is an appeasment?
an appeasement is a policy of making political or material concessions to an aggressive power in order to dodge conflict.
Causes
- Britain gave Hitler land as a strategy to try and stop him from starting a war
- This was also a way to try and stop Hitler taking over England and France
Effects
- Hitler violated the Munich agreement
- Hitler also invaded Poland
