Presidency of Pena Nieto (1 déc. 2012 – 30 nov 2018)
Description:
Pena Nieto was the successor of Calderon and was the first PRI President following the past 2 Presidencies being by members of the National Action Party. Due to the handling of the economic crisis from the National Action Party and the lack of progress due to the Recession, a PRI party member made sense. He was much more liberal in his policies, and one of his most important policies was publicizing the Mexican energy sector. However, much of his Presidency was criticized due to the handling of the mass kidnapping of Iguala and the escape of El Chapo from Mexican prisons.
