Description:
The Thirty Years’ War was a religious war caused by the Protestant reformation. The war involved the Spanish, French, Dutch, Germans, Swedish, Danish, Polish, Bohemians, and Russians. It was caused by the Holy Roman empires attempt to force its Bohemian subjects to remain Catholic. This war was the most destructive conflict in Europe before the 20th century and decimated the economy and societies of Europe. (4.1)(4.3)
