The Hundred Years' War was a series of conflicts that occurred from 1337 to 1453. It was basically England versus France fighting over the succession to the French throne. The war actually lasted 116 years, contrary to the public opinion. The war took somewhat of a pause during the black death, which occurred in the late 1340s to the early 1350s.
