Jacques Necker (6 sept. 1757 – 20 mai 1834)
Description:
Financial Minister for Louis XVI. His efforts to reform French institutions prior to 1789 and to compromise with the Estates General after the start of the Revolution failed. Fired because he was seen as too sympathetic to the third estate, which threatened the privileges of the 1st and 3rd estate.
