Shar-Kali-Sharri (1 janv. 2217 av. J.-C. – 31 déc. 2193 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Reign of King Shar-Kali-Sharri, son of Naram-Sin and thought to be the last Akkadian emperor.
When he inherited the empire it was being subjected to frequent attacks by the Gutian people, as well as revolts spurred by increased taxes.
These effects, combined with the 4.2 kiloyear drought, are thought to have reduced the Akkadian Empire to nothing more than its capital city. Thus, Shar-Kali-Sharri's descendants ruled over a rapidly shrinking empire that collapsed 180 years after its foundation.
