Reign of King Manishtushu, son of Sargon the Great and brother of Rimush.
Manishtushu ascended to the throne of Akkad upon his brother's assassination. His reign was marked by years of legendary military victories and prosperous trade with other nations. He led military campaigns to distant southern lands around the Persian Gulf and demonstrated the unprecedented strength of the Akkadian Empire.
He was assassinated by members of his own court, just as his brother Rimush is thought to have died.
