Description:

World War I was the first war to have included several countries from around the world. War began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a Serbian Nationalist. It was a war between the Central powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire) and the Allied forces (Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, and Japan). The United States came late into the war. When the war was over, the Allied forces blamed Germany for the war and created the Treaty of Versailles in order to keep Germany at its lowest.
