1. What is the mood of this poem?

Positive and hopefully. Because he are talking about singing and being strong. It depends on who are reading and how because in the film it was sad because of the music in the background, but it´s happy when I read it.

2. Why do you think the Whitman describes different types of workers in the poem?

He wants to show that even though people are in different situations they can feel some happiness.

3. How do you think Whitman feels about America?

That it’s the strong country with many workers who are raising it.
