Description:
Although this war was officially fought between America and Spain, it took place on Cuban soil. After Spain exploded to USS Maine, the United States decided to aid Cuba in a revolution to win sovereignty from Spain. The United States used yellow journalism to convince to American people to support a war, which they believed was necessary to unite the public after the Civil War.
