The Vietnam War (2 août 1964 – 30 avr. 1975)

Description:

The Vietnam War was a conflict fought between North Vietnam (supported by communist countries) and South Vietnam (supported by The United States). The conflict lasted for 11 years yet resulted in the defeat of South Vietnam. The war was a major embarrassment for the United States and showed that the superpower was not invincible. The war also sparked the creation of the counterculture movement, which was a movement that rejected cultural norms to protest the federal government and the Vietnam War.
