Description:

That Cold War was an era in which The United States and the Soviet Union competed for global dominance in ideological, economic, and military strength. The Cold War started with the Berlin Crisis and ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Cold War marks the closest time in world history in which the world could have ended as we know it. Both sides of the Cold War almost annihilated each other on multiple occasions, but diplomacy through forums such as The United Nations was able to stop a war from breaking out.
