Industrial Revolution (1 janv. 1760 – 1 janv. 1830)
Description:
The start of the Industrial Revolution was about 1760 and came about as a result of major URBANIZATION due to ENCLOSURE ACTS. It was a period of transition from production being done by hand to being done by machines. One of the biggest characteristics of the Industrial Revolution was the terrible working conditions due to corrupt employers. These working conditions lead employees to take action. Some of those taking action against any reforms were the LUDDITES who were REACTIONARY. Luddites were a group that would destroy factory machines as they despised the new and advancing technology. Then there were the CHARTISTS who were RADICAL and made a chart in hopes to help things progress and change for a better society.
