Feudalism (1 janv. 800 – 1 janv. 1400)
Description:
Began around the 9th Century and ended around the 15th century- Feudalism was an established system in which land owners would protect people in exchange for labor. With this system there were three estates: the nobility (land-owners), the clergy (priests), and the peasantry (labor). It was a repressive society as it restricted people from being able to progress into other estates. This repression eventually lead to revolutions which ended the Feudal system. The end of Feudalism around the 15th century marked the first building blocks for Liberalism as people sought freedom and rights.
