Reign of Louis XIV (14 mai 1643 – 1 sept. 1715)
Description:
I can only assume that this is the proper monarch, as Louis IV, who was listed on the paper, was not even alive this millennia. Louis 14th remains the longest ruling monarch in Europe, and is the prime example of an absolutist monarch. He called himself the 'Sun King', stating that his entire empire revolved around him. He moved the court from Paris to Versailles, a lavish and insanely expensive palace he made. He also revoked the Edict of Nantes, causing a massive exodos of protestant from France.
