Romans in Britain (15 sept. 43 – 25 juill. 410)
Description:
Romans kept Britain as a military outpost for hundreds of years before retreating back to Rome to protect the ailing empire from barbarian onslaught. They left behind them a pathway of roads, which would be used by Anglo Saxons for trade in years to come, and Hadrian's Wall, which roughly follows the boundaries of Scotland and England.
