Description:
The Great Fear spread throughout peasant communities in the countryside of France. With the National Assembly failing to come to a compromise with the French nobility, a continually failing harvest with food becoming scarce, and the history of noble oppression of serfs and peasants throughout France as a whole, peasants took up arms in self-defense of a growing fear of oncoming attacks against them.Ajouté au bande de temps:
