Montgomery Bus Boycott (5 déc. 1955 – 20 déc. 1956)
Description:
These were protests that lasted about a year because of the segregation of buses in Montgomery, Alabama. Rosa Parks, a member of the NAACP did not give up her seat to a white man. An effect of this was that segregation of buses was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Violence also erupted as some buses were shot at by angered whites.
