Summary: a political and social protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation on the public transit system

Where: Montgomery, Alabama
Cause: There was forced segregation on public transit where separate was true but equal was not, and blacks basically had had enough
Effect: the ruling of Browder v. Gayle took effect, leading to a Supreme Court decision that declared the Alabama and Montgomery segregation bus laws unconstitutional
