In January 1917, British intelligence deciphered the note sent by the German Foreign Minister Arthur Zimmerman. This Telegram stated that if Mexico helped out Germany if America joined the war, then Germany would give part of the American territory to Mexico. This Telegram once deciphered, Pressured America into joining the war.
