Establishment of the KMT (12 mai 1928 – 25 juill. 1949)
Description:
Under the rule of Chiang Kai-Shek, the KMT, or the Nationalist Party, controlled a majority of mainland China for over two decades as the first political part of the Chinese republic. At the start of the Nationalist Party’s rule, many of its successes were achieved through assistance from the Soviets and close relations to many Chinese Communists. Throughout its rule, the party became progressively conservative and dictatorial but refrained from totalitarian ideals, resting on the Three Principles of the People: nationalism, democracy, and the economy.
