Description:
The Industrial Revolution began in Britain and was a time marked by massive advancements in the way that goods were produced for the masses. In the past goods were made by hand, one by one, in the cottage industry. This meant that regular citizens would work out of their houses to create goods. The Industrial Revolution introduced new production techniques to make goods easier than ever to produce. A result of this is society became a consumer society. This meant that he purchase and sale of goods was meant to be as streamlined as possible for the consumer.
