Northwest Ordinance 1784/85/87 (29 janv. 1784 – 1 avr. 1787)

Description:

Several ordinances enacted by the U.S Congress to establish procedures for the settlement of the Northwest Territories; 1784: Divide lands into separate states; 1785: a system for settlers so that they could buy the undeveloped land; 1787: Forbade slavery and indentured servitude in the territory.
