Bubonic Plague (1 janv. 1300 – 1 janv. 1400)

Description:

In the 1300s the Bubonic Plague killed off up to sixty percent of Europe’s population. This brought with it many economic and cultural changes. With fewer available laborers wages increased and many merchants began to pursue other interests such as the arts and entertainment. These changes allowed the renaissance to begin and flourish in Italy to eventually spread throughout Europe. If the Europe had never experienced the plague it undoubtedly would be very different today as would the rest of the world giving the plague great historical significance.
