Trail of Tears (1 janv. 1838 – 1 janv. 1839)
Description:
The Trail of Tears was a series of migrations during 1838 to 1839 which was put into motion when President Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act of 1830, a policy that caused devastation to Native Americans way of life, and culture. This act was applied to the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Creek, and Seminole - the Five Civilized Tribes - while some tribes migrated voluntarily, others needed force.
