Trail of Tears (12 avr. 1831 – 18 nov 1850)
Description:
The Trail of Tears was a result of a series of forced relocation of Native American peoples from their ancestral homelands in the Southeastern United States, to areas too the west that had been designated as Indian Territory. The forced relocation was federally enforced by the Indian Removal Act in 1830. The victims of the relocation suffered from exposure, disease, and starvation while traveling to their new designated reserve and many died before reaching their destination.
