Description:
While Stephen F. Austin was jailed, people in Texas were upset by the taxes still collected by the Mexican government. William B. Travis led a protest and the Mexican general in charge of the army in Texas wanted to arrest Travis and others. Texans held a meeting to discuss the imminent invasion of Texas by the Mexican looking for Travis and the others. By that time Stephen Austin was released from jail and arrived to Texas.
