Description:

The Fall of the Philippines was the Invasion of the Philippines by Imperial Japan. The Japanese launched an invasion from 200 miles of the Philippines. The Japanese surprise air attacks on the US Air Bases in the Philippines. This destroys most US airpower in the country. After this attack, Japanese forces land and quickly defeat the US and Philippine. The allied forces retreat to the Bataan Penisula where they wait for the reinforcements from the US. This invasion was a big victory to the Japanese.
