Fatshion of The 18th Century (1 janv. 1701 – 31 déc. 1800)
Description:
~Women fashion did not change for the upper class much; however, the hair style was a pampadour. This was inspired by Mademe de Pampadour.
~Men wore a suit coat and no longer wore the powdered wig.
~French commoners rebelled against the extravagance of the wealthy and began wearing loose, flowing muslin dresses based on classical Greek garments.
~Women began to carry purses and hair was worn in soft ringlets
