Description:

Suggestions for current literary period include the resurgence of realism with a post-modern bend. Special variations that have been suggested include transrealism, which combines a close look at what is real with science fiction, and hyper-realism or modernism, which simply is super-detailed in its focus on reality. Consensus is difficult since written words seem largely split, or balkanized, between various groups.
