Council of Trent (14 oct. 1545 – 29 avr. 1563)
Description:
The Council of Trent was the council for the Catholic Church made in response to the Protestant Reformation. It lead the Counter Reformation in trying to win back Protestants, correct abuses, and clarify its teachings. The Council of Trent ultimately reformed the Catholic Church by addressing corruption within the church and defining Christian doctrine.
