 King Louis XIII (big example of absolutism) ruled France with Chief Minister Cardinal Richelieu, who tried to obtain more governmental control for France. Their reign caused a massive amount of national debt, lessoned power of the nobility, and more. Their effect on the economy of France is what categorizes them into the PP category.
