Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu (21 juin 1610 – 9 oct. 1643)

Description:

Louis XIII led France for very long time, with the help of Cardinal Richelieu. Through Richelieu's guidance, the king turned France into a major European power. To do this though, he caused France to go into major debt and upset many nobles. This fits into the theme of Individual and Society because it showed how the nobles of france were getting treated by their king.
