Council of Trent (22 mars 1545 – 15 avr. 1563)
Description:
The Council of Trent was significant for its decrees on self-reform and for its definitions that clarified almost every doctrine opposed by the Protestants. Despite internal debates and two long debates, the council was a key part of the Counter-Reformation and played a vital role in revitalizing the Roman Catholic Church in many parts of Europe.
