Description:

Castiglione was an Italian courtier, diplomat, soldier and a prominent Renaissance author. He was an influence in the Renaissance from his major works he published. He was most famous for writing The Book of the Courtier. The writing which portrays the ideal courtier, was a catalyst in spreading Italian humanism into England and France.
