Babylonian exile (31 déc. 587 av. J.-C. – 7 nov 586 av. J.-C.)
Description:
The southern kingdom, Judah, managed to stop the Assyrians' attack. However, they couldn't stop the Babylonians from conquering their kingdom. Babylonian then destroyed the First temple (Solomon's Temple) and forced Jews to leave their city. This is a serious cultural devastation, but Jews managed to keep their religion and tradition. Jews later got to return to their city after the Persians defeated the Babylonians (Tanakh; History; Chronology of the Kings of Israel & Judah).
