Description:
Dijon, Bordeaux, Montpellier, Lyons, Amiens
Peasants got pissed and revolted...everywhere (England, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy)
Bread prices: Demanded affordable food → govt attempted to quell by subsidizing bread, lightening loaves, etc, but people smelled the corner cutting and got even more mad
Taxes + participation in govt: mad that their taxes were too high & nobles had tax exemptions
Unsuccessful: lacked unity and strong leadership; couldn’t withstand forces of the state
