The Long Expedition (6 juin 1819 – 29 sept. 1821)
Description:
James Long was the last filibuster to try and take Texas away from Spain. In 1819 he led 300 rebels into Texas and easily captured deserted towns. Jean Lafitte refused to help, and the rebels were attacked by Spain. Long went to look for more recruits in New Orleans. In 1821 he used a sea startegy to attack Goliad, but was captured and shot by Spanish.
