STOICISM (1 janv. 336 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 264 av. J.-C.)
Description:
He said that he can attain freedom and tranquillity only by being oblivious to material comforts, external fortune, and by dedicating himself to a life guided by the principles of reason and virtue. The universe is a harmonious and causally related whole.
Stoic theology is pantheistic: there is no God outside of nature or the world; it is the world itself in its totality that is divine.
