Born in the city of Miletus in an ancient city on the coast of Asia .Famous Greek philosopher and mathematician, Thales of Miletus is known to be the founder of the Miletus School to which his disciples Anaxímenes and Anaximandro belonged. He was considered in antiquity as one of the Seven Wise Men of Greece. He was one of the first scholars to transcend the mythological approach that characterized Greek philosophy in the centuries before.
