Age of Enlightenment (1 janv. 1701 – 1 janv. 1800)
Description:
As the ideas of the Renaissance and the Reformation became more popular, European philosophers such as Thomas Hobbes and John Locke, helped promote the ideas about human nature that led to the development of classical liberalism.
This period in time contributed to the development of classical liberalism in that philosophers made the idea of individual rights and freedoms more accepted and wide spread. Worth of the individual and the thought that every individual was rational became the central focus of enlightenment ideals.
